I just got the car back, the tipm locked up and had to be reset. A special thanks to my my dad-in-law, for working at Chrysler and thus getting me a 10% discount. Another shout out to my parents, who....actually footed the entire bill, *sigh of relief*.
The bill wasn't much, only $278.91 (purely for labor because of course), but my wife and I have been saving to switch from propane to natural gas, which is $400. Anything denting that amount would of made everything difficult for my little family. I am really grateful for my parents, I know they don't have much money, but if my wife and I are having hard times, they always help out. I salute you mom and dad. You inspire me to put on my A game for my own kid, :).
In other news...the dealership washed my car....do they have any idea how long it took me to get it that nice 'rally' finish? *grumbles*

I feel sorry or you bro that you have to drive a PT cruiser. I'd rather walk tbh

Technically, it's not the car that makes the gearhead, but the driver. A lot of celebrities have Ferraris and Lambos, but they have no appreciate for what they drive. It's just a car that establishes street cred.
Me? I drive a '08 PT base model, and I drive it hard. I love taking on new challenges, making myself a better driver overall. I enjoy the dirt roads more so than the black top because, call me crazy, I thoroughly enjoy my PT bouncing around not getting a good grip upon the dirt upon the road. I love the body roll as I speed around corners going 40 mph on the dirt road.
To me, a true gearhead can enjoy whatever they drive; auto, manual, truck, car, etc. Its what makes cars fun. If it isn't a fun car, then you make it fun, ;).

Ha, thanks. I got the car, because I had no idea what I was getting. Then I became a gearhead, and realized exactly what I got (thanks jalopnik for hating the pt so strongly, :P ). Went through something like the 5 stages of grief about owning a anti-jalop car. Finally settled upon acceptance, and realizing the PT isn't bad. It ain't the best, but it's 4 wheels and a engine. I'll just make my fun with it. :)

I'm glad they got it fixed for less than you were expecting. That blue looks great when it's clean!

Ha, it is very blue. I don't even bother remembering where I park anymore, I just look for the blue, :).
It was funny, when the car initially broke down, we saw a doppelgänger in the same parking lot, an identical blue PT, lol.
